Canadian Orpheus Male Choir Canada: 150 Anniversary Concert
Four local choirs are joining with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry Concert Band to perform popular Canadian songs arranged for TTBB Massed Choir and Band. The audience will be inspired by powerful songs and uplifting music from across Canada that will instill a sense of pride in recognizing Canada's 150 Birthday. This initiative is made possible by the Community Fund for Canada's 150th, a collaboration between Hamilton Community Foundation, the Government of Canada, and extraordinary leaders from coast to coast.

Birchall Leadership Award 2017
Internationally-recognized astronaut Chris Hadfield, one of Canada’s modern heroes, will be honoured in Hamilton this fall with the prestigious Birchall Leadership Award, created in honour of a Canadian World War Two hero. Colonel Hadfield, through his work in space and here on earth, exemplifies Birchall’s qualities including the ability to lead in the face of difficulty or adversity to promote the welfare and safety of those under his command.

Garrison Remembrance Day Parade
Join us for a Remembrance Day service at the cenotaph in Veterans’ Place at Gore Park as we honour Hamilton’s veterans and service men and women.
The parade will start on James Street North in front of the John Weir Foote V.C. Armoury, travel south on James Street and then east on King Street to Gore Park where the remembrance service will be observed. The parade will return to the Armoury following the service along the same route.
